A tall, narrow portrait of Mary, great with child, her figure rising out of a current of blue and gold. A spiral of warm color sits at the center of the canvas, right where new life is carried — the whole painting turning around that one quiet point.
Inspired by the Magnificat, Mary's song in Luke 1:46–54: "From now on all generations will call me blessed." Painted in fabric and acrylic on heavy linen, stretched by hand over a recycled wood frame.
