Collecting original art

Why would I choose to buy art from WholeheartedArts?

There is lots of art out there that suits many different people. Here at WholeheartedArts we aim to use art to connect your heart with what is beautiful, good, and true. This is why we create art that is uplifting and honoring to God. We avoid art that is disturbing, dark, or self-indulgent.

As much as we like the idea of art as self-expression, we also exercise wisdom in expressing that which honors us and our Creator. Not everything needs to be said, and not everything needs to be painted. In plain words — what you focus on will be magnified, and we want to magnify beauty, goodness, and truth.

Are the paintings original?

Yes. Every painting is an original, one-of-a-kind work by Agata May'kowska — never reproduced as a print. Each piece is signed and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Can I see a painting in person before I buy it?

Yes — photographs can't capture the texture and layers of an original piece. The studio gallery at 92 Conover Rd, East Windsor, NJ is open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 10am–5pm; closed Monday and Friday; and open Saturday and Sunday by appointment only. Plan a visit.

How do I pay?

Paintings marked Available have a Purchase button that opens a secure Stripe checkout (card, Apple Pay, and other options shown at checkout). You can also email to inquire about any piece.

How are paintings shipped?

Paintings ship insured, with a signed certificate of authenticity, to the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia. You are also welcome to pick up your painting in person at the studio in East Windsor, NJ.

Are the paintings framed?

Many are. Framing is listed under Details on each painting's page — for example "Framed," "Unframed," or the frame size. If you have a question about a specific frame, just ask.

Do you work with interior designers, galleries, and churches?

Yes. Agata works directly with designers, art consultants, galleries, and churches sourcing original work for a space or a collection. See trade information.

Commissions & prayer

How can I commission a prayerful painting for a special occasion?

We are so glad you asked! Commissions are accepted in limited number — send an email to wholeheartedarts@gmail.com with COMMISSION in the subject line and tell us what kind of prayerful painting you would like. Agata creates mixed media prayerful flowers, sunrises and sunsets, and tree landscapes, working with paint, fabric, and paper. If you have a specific idea for the painting, share your vision with us in the email.

More about the process on the Commissions page.

What occasions are worth a painting?

We would like to celebrate with you all that you consider important. We will join you and pray especially for pregnancy, the birth of a child, marriage, baptism, birthdays, and anniversaries — but we also understand that there are times when you need encouragement or prayer through a difficult season.

Sometimes celebration comes late, and before that we would like to symbolically walk with you through the time of trials and pray for you. Let us know how we can serve you, how we can pray for you, and whether there is a specific Scripture that would bring you comfort in this time. The painting will be a testimony and reminder of God's faithfulness to you, and that we love one another.

Do I pay for the prayer?

No. There is no price for prayer or a blessing. We can only put a monetary value on our work as artists; the fellowship with you in prayer is free. The price covers the art itself — materials, time and skill, the frame if there is one, and shipping.

We will pray for you throughout the time of creating the painting for you, because we feel this is how we can best honor God and grow together in knowing Christ. We want to testify about God's goodness.

How do commission payments work?

A deposit begins the work, with the balance due as the piece nears completion. The exact structure, price, and timeline are agreed together up front, so there are no surprises.

Books by WholeheartedArts

What makes the children's books from WholeheartedArts worth your consideration?

Here at WholeheartedArts we believe that what we create and consume should reflect our values. We care that our children are taught the values we were given by our God. We don't practice our faith on Sunday only; we live our Judeo-Christian worldview throughout the whole week, and we care that our children will continue in our faith. This is why our books reflect it.

We don't consider all our books religious in kind, and we don't always include the Gospel verbatim, but we include lessons that will ultimately help your child learn truth. As a grandmother of twins, I write books that I would like my grandchildren to read one day and be better for it, not worse. My books are written to be a playful lesson in what is true, good, and beautiful, and to give parents an opportunity to build those values and more.

What ages are the books for?

Only a parent can decide what material their child is ready for, but our books are particularly well received by the youngest readers up to about 9 years old. We especially care to teach young boys that they are uniquely equipped to be the head of a family one day. This is why we cultivate values such as leadership, bravery, love, helpfulness, problem solving, and family in all our books — and our adventures are written with all that in mind, and lots of humor too!

Where can I find books by Agata May'kowska?

Signed copies are available directly from the studio — see Books. The books are also available on Amazon and through other online bookstores.
